Diana Pray

Coloratura soprano Diana Pray (Belezza) specializes in intimate performances, where her
shimmering voice and sparkling persona thrill audiences up close. Sought after for special
events, Miss Pray has reigned as Opera Cabaret diva in San Francisco’s legendary Plush
Room, trilled a World Premiere aria “Temptress of Rome” (while held aloft by chiseled,
barechested centurions) at the Julia Morgan Ballroom, and rung in the Chinese New Year
4702 singing jazz at the Asian Art Museum’s gala celebration. Just as she loves to use song
to liven any party, she loves to bring seldom-heard concert and chamber works back to life,
and is delighted to join City Concert Opera in this exciting endeavor. Opera aficionados
have adored her Bay Area performances as Menotti’s Lucy, Purcell’s Cupid, and Handel’s
Atalanta. Those with keen eyes have enjoyed her San Francisco Opera Chorus appearances
as peasant, peon, and prisoner. When not on the stage, Miss Pray is bringing the fine arts
within reach at her exquisite art and jewelry gallery in Pacifica, where she also is impresario
of gallery concerts and recitals. For gallery information, as well as for Miss Pray’s
